Comparison
A Taggbox alternative if you only need X
Taggbox publishes a Twitter wall and a separate display product for event screens, and it lists many networks. MentionWall only reads X. Compare the limits you can read on their pages with the limits in this product. We do not repeat third-party price lists.
On Taggbox’s Twitter wall page, the free column is listed at $0 with one connected X source, 500 posts per feed, 500 monthly views, updates every 4 days, and a “10+ supported platforms” line. That page also offers a free trial. Their display pricing page lists a Weekly Pass, a Monthly Pass, and Enterprise for event screens, with feature rows (attendees, feeds, update time) but the dollar amounts were not taken from a stable figure we are willing to repeat. Open their display pricing page for the current pass price.
Their widget pricing page is a different product: website feeds, with a free tier and monthly plans. Do not treat a widget price as the event-screen price. MentionWall has no website-embed product.
MentionWall’s free tier is one event, one @handle, one preview sync of 20 posts, watermarked. Paid checkout is ₹2,499 or ₹5,999 before a coupon, one-time. Updates on a paid wall are about every 10 minutes while the wall is open, not every four days, and each sync is still capped at 20 posts from the last 6 hours.
Side by side
| Topic | MentionWall | Taggbox |
|---|---|---|
| Price we can cite | ₹2,499 for 1 event, ₹5,999 for 3 (one-time, before any coupon). ₹1,498 less than three single events. Credits last 12 months. | Twitter wall page lists a $0 column with the limits below. Event display passes: see their display pricing page. We are not quoting a third-party dollar figure for those passes. |
| Networks | X only. Hashtags, keywords, and @handles. | Their Twitter wall page says 10+ platforms. |
| Free limits they publish | One event, one @handle, one preview sync of 20 posts, watermark. | Twitter wall page: 1 X source, 500 posts per feed, 500 monthly views, updates every 4 days. |
| Screen login | No attendee login. Public /w/ link for the screen. | They describe display on event screens and websites. We are not describing their accounts. |
| After the event | Mentions by day, author leaderboard, likes, replies, shares, impressions. Engagement is likes + replies + shares. | Their display pricing table includes an analytics row. We are not summarizing what that analytics view contains. |
| Moderation | No approval queue. Replies are off unless you enable them. | Their pages describe moderation features, including AI moderation on some plans. MentionWall has none of that. |
When MentionWall fits
- You only need X on a screen you already own.
- You want the scoreboard (authors, engagement) in the same workspace.
- A four-day update interval is too slow for a live event, and you can live with a 20-post sync cap.
When it does not
- You need several social networks on one wall.
- You need an approval queue or AI moderation.
- You need a website widget with monthly view caps. That is their widget product, not ours.
Questions
Is MentionWall a Taggbox clone?
No. Taggbox sells walls and widgets across many networks. MentionWall is X-only, pay per event, with a post-event scoreboard.
Do you match their free tier?
No. Their published free Twitter wall allows a hashtag-style source with a 4-day update. Ours allows one @handle and one preview sync of 20 posts, with a watermark.
Why is their event-pass price missing?
The official display pricing page is the source. A third-party listing is not good enough to print a number here.
