Meetups
The Luma page already has the title and often a host handle. Paste it, keep that handle, add the meetup hashtag if you are on a paid event, and put /w/ on the room TV.
Luma
Paste a lu.ma or luma.com link. MentionWall fetches the event name and suggests queries. You pick the ones to track on X, open a public wall, and rank authors after. Guests still register on Luma. Posts still happen on X.
Create from Luma on the events page. lu.ma and luma.com links both work.
Suggestions can include hashtags, keywords, and handles. Uncheck the rest. Free keeps one handle.
The screen is the public /w/ link. Refresh Luma guests only if you want mentions matched to people who registered.
MentionWall can start an event from a Luma URL. On the events page, choose Create from Luma, paste a lu.ma or luma.com link, and MentionWall fetches the event name. It then suggests hashtags, keywords, and @handles from the event. You select which suggestions to keep before the event is created. You can still type a name yourself and skip Luma.
The suggestions are a starting point, not a guarantee that those tags are active on X. Uncheck the ones you do not want. A free event can only keep a single @handle. A paid event can keep up to 8 queries. If the Luma page has no social handles, you will get a thinner suggestion list and you should add the hashtag yourself.
This does not list MentionWall inside Luma, and it does not post to X on your behalf. Guests still register on Luma and still post on X. The wall is the screen for those posts.
Events created from Luma can refresh a guest list and match stored posts to people who registered, when Luma returns that list to MentionWall. The event page shows how many guests were stored and how many of them match authors on the wall. If Luma does not return guests — a private event, a key that cannot see them, or an API error — the refresh does not invent a list. The wall of public posts still works without it.
Guest matching is an organizer view. It is not shown as a public leaderboard of everyone who registered. People who never post on X will not appear on the wall, even if they have a ticket.
After the event exists, sync works like any other MentionWall event. Last 6 hours, up to 20 posts per sync, public /w/ link, scoreboard of mentions by day, authors, and engagement. A paid wall left open syncs about every 10 minutes. Price is ₹2,499 or ₹5,999 before a coupon, or free within the preview limits.
Luma is popular with meetups and hackathons that already collect RSVPs there. The useful part for a wall is the name, the handles on the calendar or hosts, and optionally the guest list. You still have to tell people the hashtag. MentionWall will not add it to the Luma description for you.
The Luma page already has the title and often a host handle. Paste it, keep that handle, add the meetup hashtag if you are on a paid event, and put /w/ on the room TV.
Paste the Luma link for the name and hosts. Track the hackathon tag across the weekend with a paid event so syncs continue. Match guests only if you want to see which registered people actually posted.
If the launch RSVP lives on Luma, start there so the event name matches the invite. Add the launch tag and the product handle yourself if the suggestions miss them.
Fest RSVPs are sometimes on Luma and the posts are sometimes on X. Paste the link for the name. Only pay for the wall if students use the tag on X. Guest match does not show Instagram stories.
A conference Luma (or a single flagship meetup) can seed the workspace. Speaker handles still need to be queries. The lobby screen is the public wall, not the Luma page.
No. You can create an event by typing a name. Luma is an optional way to start.
lu.ma and luma.com links, including calendar event URLs, plus an evt- id. A bare event name is not a Luma link.
No. It reads the Luma event to name the workspace and suggest queries. Posts on the wall come from X after you sync.
Luma did not return guests for that event. The public wall does not depend on the guest list.
The Luma import is not a separate fee. The event is free within the preview limits, or ₹2,499 / ₹5,999 for paid packs, before a coupon.
